A Chanel Sublimage Le Correcteur Yeux concealer review video was posted on my Youtube channel sometime ago, but I was gonna explain more in this blog. This Chanel Sublimage under eye concealer was marketed also as skincare product for the eye areas, aside from really being a part of the beauty extension of the Chanel Sublimage skincare line. It promises to hydrate, illuminate, smooths out fine lines without creasing, as well as correcting dark circles. The ultimate goal for this concealer to achieve is for your eyes to look rested. For someone with under eye bags, wrinkles, crow’s feet and dark circles, I’ve been plagued with tired eyes all the time. Texture, Packaging & Shades

The concealer comes in a clear pot with a screw-on cap, a flat spatula and a small angled brush applicator. Many users have complaint about the hassle of using it on-the-go or when you want to just rush over makeup for the lack of time. I have to agree that this would’ve been a lot easier for busy girls had it come in a wand in tube. But that would’ve been the same as their Longwear colour corrector and concealers.

The product is soft and smooth like cream in texture, but it isn’t as rich as it appears to be once you apply it. So you can really swipe it across with ease with the small angled brush provided without fearing it would cake up at some point. As the consistency takes a while to coagulate, the plumping effect on the skin takes the same amount of time. I’ve timed it – about 20 minutes for you to really feel like the concealer is finally in place and has done its work. At 3:47 of the above video, you can see that my under eye areas have been ironed out a little, hence you see the lines being pushed outwards because the eye bag areas have been plumped.

The Chanel Sublimage Le Correcteur Yeux Concealer comes closest to the Nars Creamy Concealer as far as my concealers collection goes. To begin with I am not one who uses a ton of makeup brands (I am more keen to try skincare products from a wider variety of companies), so when it comes to concealers that’d served me well, I tend to stick to them for a long time. The Chanel Sublimage new concealer wins in hydration level, but it is also because of this that it is slightly more fluid than the Nars concealer, thus causing it to crease more. Needless to say, this Chanel Sublimage concealer wears more comfortably as well. Colour correction for me is one of the most important factors in a concealer because I have severe redness on my eye bags. Puffy eyes are bad enough, imagine having them in red. So you see, the Chanel Sublimage Le Correcteur Yeux concealer does not need any correctors, the product auto-corrects my skin tone by adjusting both my redness and dark circles. The results are at 4:30 and 4:25 mark respectively in my Chanel Sublimage new concealer video. It also illuminates the under eye areas beautifully.

New Chanel Sublimage Le Correcteur Yeux Concealer Review

The new Chanel Sublimage Le Correcteur Yeux Concealer beats my all-time favourite Nars Radiant Cream Concealer in most departments (coverage, correction, plumpness, hydration, radiance, comfort) except for two things. And these are HUGE two things for me: creasing and the way it just slides off by the end of the day. Considering how hydrating the quality of this concealer is, I’m not surprised that it creased badly (on the eye lid folds, crow’s feet and even those micro-fine lines along my water line!), but I was not expecting it to slide from my under eye areas. If you watch till the end of my Chanel Sublimage Le Correcteur Yeux Concealer review video, you’d notice that the makeup under my eyes seemed to have cracked. It was in fact not because it was too dry, but as the product has such an aqueous quality to it, it got pulled down eventually therefore emptying those under eye wrinkles of mine. If you have dry skin, you may not have this issue. Just a thought.
