Boy de Chanel the new Green Color Corrector Concealer

The Boy de Chanel concealer is a cool-toned, concealer stick in matte finish, and does the job of a green color corrector concealer in my opinion. You see I have a complicated case of warm toned under eye bags, as well as random redness in my skin. Green colour correctors are said to correct redness, but you’ll see that this Chanel Boy concealer stick is about to do the same without having to juggle with more than one product.

Boy de Chanel Concealer Review – better than a green concealer

The Boy de Chanel concealer comes in a matte casing and cover, and swatches slightly more satiny than matte, which makes sense since without the oil and wax you wouldn’t be able to smoothen the product out on the skin on the first glide. The matte-ness sets in a few minutes after application like I’d demonstrated in the video below.

Boy de Chanel Concealer in shade 20 Light

The Boy de Chanel in shade 20 Light was matched for my skin tone and the swatch is as shown in the above photo. I’m not going to say the texture skims on effortlessly, but blending it on the skin is far from arduous, despite it mattifying on its own thereafter. There are so many good things about this concealer I want to say, where do I even begin? As I said, it corrects redness. This is one major score for me. Even though it does not conceals my puffy under eye bags (no cosmetics does but with the help of makeup techniques that reduces the appearance of it – watch my other video on how to get rid of puffy eyes visually), the concealer makes my eyes looking less weary. In the video you can see how it conceals the redness around my nose, my reddish blemishes, and my red-toned eye bags! It offers medium coverage; that to me is ideal because I am not one who likes full coverage on my wrinkled areas. It is also precisely because of this (and the fact that it is of matte texture), that this concealing product does not crease, crack, or slide on me, by the end of the day.

Best Non-Creasing Concealer for Under Eyes

It is one of the best non-creasing concealer for the under eyes simply because it is light weight and matte, so it accumulates and budges lesser. More frequently with fine lines and wrinkles, products either settle into or drain out of them. And that is when creasing or cracking happens. This happens when our skin is either too oily or too dry. But as we tackle our deeper-seated skin issues, we should also look at playing around with the textures of the makeup we use, no? Since I have persistently oily skin (from dehydration), my task at hand would have to be getting rid of the surface sebum. In my demo video above, I’ve used a matte-on-matte method by using a matte concealer, the Boy de Chanel concealer in this case, and a matte powder over it, i.e., the Diorskin Forever Extreme Control Perfect Matte Powder. This method allows my concealer makeup to last without noticeable creasing on my under eye areas. Into the 5th hour, with no touch ups in between, there’d only been slight creasing on the eyelid folds, as well as the makeup slightly wearing off near the water line. It is surprisingly non-drying and actually comfortable to wear on. I hope my demo video is useful for those who have yet to stop their concealer from creasing under your eyes and those going for the oil-free look. Boy de Chanel isn’t just for the boys, ladies!
