My Chanel Le Lift Pro Review is finally ready! Chanel has launched their Le Lift Pro skincare late last year comprising a serum, a cream and mask as well as a massage tool. The Le Lift Pro series is suitable for all skin types, including even sensitive skin. I have combination to oily skin type; so do read on to find out how Le Lift Pro performs. Chanel’s Le Lift is all about skin lifting, smoothening, firming and plumping. And Le Lift Pro was also all of these; except that it emphasises on redefining facial contours, with the objective of restoring the Triangle of Youth. The Triangle of Youth refers to the features of high cheek bones, full cheeks and a well-defined jawline. Over time our cheeks sag and flatten, and the chin develops jowls (loose skin folds under the jawline). This causes the Triangle of Youth to become inverted. Le Lift Pro also features a key ingredient containing Melipona enzyme. It is essentially honey made by Melipona bees and has high concentration of organic acids, such as amino acid and phenolic acid. And so Melipona honey also contains protein, flavonoid, and enzymatic content. On top of these, it also has vitamins and minerals that support skin cellular growth and elastin and collagen production.
Le Lift Pro Contour Concentrate Review
I only got the Le Lift Pro Contour Concentrate and the Le Lift Pro Volume Cream, but not the masque. I’ve sampled the Le Lift Pro Masque Uniformite at the store, and I found its texture to be too sticky for my liking. This is a leave-on mask, which means it stays as the last layer on the skin overnight. And what this means to me is that my skin will not be comfortable against the pillowcase. But if you do not mind sticky textures, then it could work for dark spots as it contains Niacinimide that inhibits melanin production by delaying melanosome transfer and tyrosinase activity. Speaking of dark spots, Chanel has an effective dark spot corrector called the Chanel LE BLANC INTENSIVE MULTI-SPOT TREATMENT, of which I’ve also done a review here.
The Le Lift Pro Contour Concentrate (Concentre Contours) is a medium-weight serum and has a fluid texture. It is not tacky and spreads smooth on the skin. The scent is like honey – very uplifting and sweet. The contour concentrate serum features a ‘tightening formula’ – comprising the Melipona enzymatic ingredient, a tensing biopolymer and hyaluronic acid.
It comes in a glass bottle with an auto-fill dropper. The dropper basically auto-fills itself each time you screw the top back. The dropper dispenses one pump of the product, and I use this nightly after my Le Lift Lotion and before the Le Lift Pro Volume Cream. The serum tightens the skin only a couple of minutes in, quite comfortably. The skin feels toned, slightly softer and bouncier after that.
Le Lift Pro Volume Cream Review
The Le Lift Pro Volume Cream (Creme Volume) also contains the Melipona ingredient, but it is fragrance-free. Chanel claims that it is formulated with a natural collagen booster for plumping the skin and smoothening out even deep wrinkles. It helps to skin support reinforcement and facial volume redefinition, and by facial volume, we mean the distributed fats around our forehead, eye, cheek and mouth areas. The Le Lift Pro Volume Cream is of medium viscosity, and has a silky appearance on its own. However it does not really apply silky smooth on the skin, instead it thins out smooth and matte. Similar to how Le Lift does best for my combination skin, Le Lift Pro offers great oil control for my T-zone, at the same time balances this with hydrating my dryer jaw areas.
Le Lift Pro by Chanel – Review & Overall Verdict
Oil-Control
I’ve used Chanel’s Le Lift Pro for a month at this point. I cannot complain about the oil-control capabilities. My makeup, especially the foundation stays intact shine-free for hours. However the serum can mattify to the extent of causing a dry skin patch on my neck during the first few times of using it. Applying the Le Lift Pro volume cream without the serum for more than a week does, however, ready my neck area for the serum. So you may want to just moisturise your neck thoroughly before using the serum.
Acne-control & Wound Healing
Another worthy observation is that the Le Lift Pro skincare works great for acne-prone skin. The products heal my acne wounds fast and also prevent the comedones from aggravating too. I’ve had some closed comedones resolve on their own instead of progressing into full outbreaks. Le Lift Pro is able to calm the skin before it gets worse, so it definitely benefits oily and acne-prone skin types.
Anti-Aging
Le Lift Pro focuses on facial contouring, smoothening of wrinkles and in general, anti-aging. But I honestly do not see any significant changes from those claims other than my skin feels stronger and toned. The skin around my mouth area can be seen lifted a little (from the above video, 4:47 – 4:57 mark), but that’s about it.
Le Lift Pro Vs Le Lift
In comparison with Le Lift, Le Lift Pro takes the crown for hydration and anti-inflammatory calibres. Both deliver skin resilience and impressive sebum and acne control. When it comes to skin cellular turnover, Le Lift Pro also seems to have a quicker skin renewal cycle effect, which is critical for middle-aged like mine. This is because as we age, the skin’s ability to naturally exfoliate slow down. This in turn hinders the rate of nutrient and moisture absorption. Le Lift Pro therefore improves my skin’s moisture retention and strengthen the skin barrier more than Le Lift does as a result.
