My Glossier Boy Brow (Black) review may be late into the game but I hope the ‘boy brow’ makeup technique that I’d figured out recently is still not too late for sharing.
Glossier Boy Brow (Black) Review
The Glossier Boy Brow in black comes in a 0.11 oz/ 3.12 grams petite packaging with a spoolie brush applicator that I feel is shorter than most tinted eyebrow gels or brow creams/ mascaras that I’d reviewed and used. But after I got the hang of using it I realise the perfect reason for it being so. The applicator isn’t just short for the spoolie brush part but its bristles are also densely packed and feel pretty firm to the touch. This makes the grip on to the product better with each dip into the tube, and surprisingly with also the stronger grip on to the brow hairs, helps to set sufficient product onto the brow hairs with each stroke; saving time.

I’ve done a quick demo video of the Glossier Boy Brow before & after in action. I’ve found the best method of doing a quick natural boy brow makeup is by way of ‘hashing’ my brows with criss-cross strokes. Watch the video below to see if this method works for you too.
The Glossier Boy Brow is being marketed as an eyebrow pomade, but I feel like the product is more gel-like (just look at how it sheers out in the swatch photo above as apposed to a pomade which is more ‘paste-like’) because although it coats and deposits the product beautifully, it doesn’t really structurize the brow hairs like how brow pomades do; the eyebrow hairs remain soft and natural after application. The product also dries fast without clumping up, which is a plus for a fuss-free brow makeup routine, because it does not transfer to your fingers easily and also gives you ample time in between multiple coats to make the brows fluffier. I’ve got oily skin and I do perspire quite a fair bit when I’m outside, and so far I don’t experience the product running or smudging on the contact with any sweat and sebum.
