A 5-minute face makeup is not about having a full-faced makeup in speed mode. A 5-minute face makeup is about getting your face ready for the day in the shortest amount of time you can spare. And this is my 5-minute face with Charcott cosmetics that I have to share.
So what is getting your face ready? It just means getting rid of eye bags, dark eye circles, redness, scars, spots, and whatever skin imperfections you may have. It is about presenting a clean skin canvas to the world, as best as you can.
You will only need a concealer for a 5-minute face. I’ve found the perfect crayon concealer for this quick get ready routine – the Chacott Crayon Concealer.
How do You Put on Concealer in 5 Minutes
You’ll preferably be using a crayon concealer with a hydrated formula because they dot with more precisions since they are pointier like a pen. Crayon concealers are also easier to blend out harsh lines with your finger tips because they offer a waxy texture. They also do not crease as much as liquid concealers because they are of a more solid consistency. These reasons make applying a crayon concealer a fast and easy makeup process.
Below is a video that I managed to demonstrate how to put on a concealer in 5 minutes using the Chacott Crayon Concealer.
The Chacott Crayon Concealer is a medium coverage concealer and offers a matte, but hydrating finish. The formula is easily buildable to full coverage for darker spots and bigger areas of blemishes as seen in the above video. This retractable stick concealer is designed for quick and easy application, an ideal for on-the-go touch-ups.
5-minute face with any Concealer
If you want to look put-together in 5 minutes with liquid or cream concealers, here are some steps you need to take note of. It has all to do with the familiarity in targeting the areas of concerns, good application control and mastering the blending techniques.
The first step is to quickly identify the problematic areas
Dark circles? Blemishes? Dark spots? Pinpoint your concerns. This helps you target specific areas and choose the right amount of product. Since this is a concealer-only makeup routine, you will not cover your entire face. So focus on prioritising what gives the biggest overall improvement.
Less is More!
When you know your target areas, how to apply concealer without having you looking cakey is not to have a heavy hand. Apply a small amount of concealer directly onto those spots. Remember, you can always add more for stubborn spots, but layering takes extra blending time.
Fingers are your quickest tools
For a 5-minute face, consider your fingers your best tools. For under-eye circles, a circular tapping motion helps minimise product migration and creasing. For blemishes, a tiny, precise dab directly on the spot is best.
Press, do not drag!
Don’t drag or swipe, as this can move the product around and create streaks. Instead, gently blend the concealer outwards from the applied area, pressing gently on the skin as you go along. This diffuses the product seamlessly into your skin, creating a natural, even look.
Get Set & Go!
Only if you have the time and if your concealer finish is not matte, dust on a light amount of translucent setting powder. Focus on areas where you applied concealer for a shine-free and long-lasting finish.
