Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate is a lightweight serum to regenerate, repair and rejuvenate our facial skin. This pint-sized dark blue glass bottle contains 30 ml (1.0 fluid oz) of elixir potion and comes with a drop applicator as shown. The product is a clear liquid concentrate.
Consistency
The oil drips like water when it first dropped onto your palm or fingers due to its low viscosity. Because it is a lightweight oil, it doesn’t feel sticky or greasy. It feels sleek on application as it is easily absorbed into the skin.
Fragrance
This facial oil product almost has no scent to it when you first drip it onto your palm, even from a close distance. Kiehl’s is known for the development of safe products, so this paraben-free and mineral oil-free facial serum that is derived from 99.8% of natural ingredients certainly does not come as surprising. This gentle serum contains distilled botanicals, which means impurities have been removed from it, leaving only pure and clean ingredients to penetrate and nourish the skin to good health.
The three main essential elements that make up the product are Lavender Essential Oil, Evening Primrose Oil and Squalane.
Lavender Essential Oil
Lavender Essential Oil is derived from the lavender floral plant and it plays an anti-inflammatory function in helping to reduce skin redness, blotchiness and irritations through its antiseptic properties.
Due to its soothing and calming abilities, Lavender essential oil is instrumental in creating a brighter and more radiant skin tone.
Evening Primrose Oil
Evening Primrose Oil is derived from the evening primrose plant and is known for its medicinal properties in healing wounds and scars. Squalane

How to Use
Direct Application
We recommend dripping two to three drops of Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate on to the palm or closed fingers. Put both palms together and tap a few times gently to warm up the serum before massaging the product into your cleansed skin for optimal absorption.
Do not rub the product with both hands before application as this may result the product being absorbed into your palms instead.
As a Moisturizer Booster
You can also mix 1 or 2 drops into your daily moisturizer for a hydrating boost. The moisturizing cream or lotion acts as a carrier, perfect for those who are not into direct application.
Avoid applying directly on raw acne. Wait for the acne to heal and dry out before using a little to speed up the healing process.
For best results, use once in the morning and once at night, although the product works best overnight as it is when our skin cells repair and renew on their own most efficiently.

Verdict
Healthy skin is priceless, hence in my opinion Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate is definitely worth the price. My biggest takeaway is that it manages to control the excess sebum production I used to have at my T-zone. What greets me in the mirror every morning is no longer the greasy face like before but healthier-looking and dewy skin. Skin is visibly more radiant, and the visibility of pores and fine lines as well as redness at some areas are reduced. I could skip using the blusher and my skin still looks rosy and glowing; not to mention make up goes on it really well too.
