The Macadamia Natural Oil Rejuvenating Shampoo comes in a tall, conical shaped bottle with a bright green pressed-down cap for dispensing the shampoo.

Fragrance

This product smells of jasmine when it is first dispensed, which is sensual and calming. However that fragrance diminishes leaving only with a mild shampoo-y scent after foaming up as you massage the product into your hair.

Colour and Consistency

The shampoo product has a thick, creamy and pearly texture and is beige in color. Foams well and gives excellent slide to the scalp when massaging.

Argania Spinosa (Argan) Kernel Oil

It also contains argan oil which has frizz-control over fraying hair as well as the ability to prevent hair breakages and split ends. Here is the part we do not quite understand. The product label states that it is “paraben-free, sulphate-free and colour-safe”, but one of the ingredients it contains is Sodium Laureth Sulphate.

We know the function of Sodium Laureth Sulphate is to bind the beneficial oils and water together so that the shampoo lathers up and cleanse to remove dirt and grime from our hair and scalp more effectively. However we also know that sulphates can strip off the natural oils and protective layer of our hair and scalp. The good thing to note is Sodium Laureth Sulphate is one of the mildest surfactants.

They are widely sold in John Little stores and Sa Sa outlets in Singapore at pretty hefty prices (Sorry we could not recall the actual price tags).

But lo and behold! We got ours from Mustafa Shopping Center for at least by twenty to 30 per cent cheaper than John Little and Sa Sa prices. We got this Macadamia Natural Oil Rejuvenating Shampoo for only SGD$22.00. The price tag is shown in our picture, see it for yourself.

Verdict

The Macadamia Natural Oil Rejuvenating Shampoo is truly moisturizing to the hair. We do not even need to condition the hair after shampoo. Hair is easily combed through and they detangle themselves naturally. Upon air drying the hair feels soft and appears shiny and sleek.
